On 7th December 2024, Class 1 students gathered at the DPS Surat campus, buzzing with excitement and eager anticipation. The much-awaited annual school picnic of Class 1 students, was filled with laughter, joy, and camaraderie.
The journey itself was an adventure. The bus ride echoed with the cheerful chatter of the students and they reached the chosen destination, i.e. ‘HariKrushna Village Restaurant’. It is a beautiful garden restaurant nestled amidst a traditional, village-themed ambience.
Upon reaching the site, the students were welcomed by the energetic beats of the ‘dhol’.
The students had a healthy breakfast and then the fun-filled activities, like hoola-hoop race, pass the ball game, puppet show, magic show and pottery, began.
After a hearty lunch, there was time for a musical statue game, which the students thoroughly enjoyed.
As the picnic came to a close, the exhausted but happy students, boarded the buses, cherishing the memories made. This picnic was more than just a break from routine—it strengthened friendships, created unforgettable moments, and reminded the students of the importance of togetherness.
The school picnic wasn’t just a day but an experience that will be etched in the students’ hearts forever.
