Earth is called the green planet due to the presence of plants on it. To instill the value of plants, DPS Surat organized a field trip to the plant nursery ‘Farmetos’ for students of Prep on 12th June 2024, Wednesday and 13th June 2024, Thursday. The young minds practically saw and felt the texture of the plants. They were curious to know about the surroundings and were excited to see the pots of varying shapes and sizes. They caught sight of numerous beautiful flowers. Further to embrace the magic of experiential learning, they received a DIY planter kit containing a pot, a packet of soil and a sachet of seeds to sow them and watch them grow every day. Our little learners had a wonderful learning experience and were filled with excitement as they observed various species of plants. This field trip sensitized the students towards taking care of the environment and the importance of planting more trees.
