As the annual Health and Hygiene Week approached, DPS Surat seized the opportunity to educate young students on the inevitable importance of maintaining proper eye health and hygiene. To this end, an experienced ophthalmologist, Dr. Dhavat Sukharamwala, was invited to visit the school and deliver an informative presentation on 9th July 2024. The session was attended by the health enthusiasts of Class 2.
The little ones presented a plant to Dr. Sukharamwala and welcomed him with love and enthusiasm.
During his visit, the doctor imparted invaluable knowledge regarding the anatomical structure and function of the human eye. Students gained a deeper appreciation for the delicate mechanisms that allow clear vision. He emphasized on the proactive measures that students can implement to safeguard their eye health, such as limiting screen time, practicing proper posture, eating healthy food, playing outdoor games and regularly washing their hands.
The doctor used a child-friendly and interactive presentation and empowered young learners to make informed choices that prioritize ocular wellness.
