Guru Purnima, a significant occasion dedicated to honouring teachers and spiritual leaders, holds a special place in the cultural and educational calendar of DPS Surat. This day is marked by profound respect and reverence for gurus, who are regarded as the guiding lights on the path of knowledge and enlightenment.

On 19th July 2024, the little learners of Class 1-I and 1-J expressed their love and gratitude towards their teachers with a heartwarming assembly.

The assembly was characterized by a series of activities that not only highlighted the importance of teachers but also fostered an environment of gratitude and appreciation within the student community. Students participated in eye-catching programs like music, dance and skit that emphasized the pivotal role educators play in shaping the minds and character of young individuals.

Such expressions of appreciation not only strengthen the bond between students and teachers but also instill a sense of responsibility and respect towards education.

The Guru Purnima assembly was more than just a ceremonial observance; it was a rejuvenation of the age-old respect for teachers. It served as a reminder of the ancient Indian tradition that uplifts the guru as an embodiment of wisdom and knowledge.
