The Independence Day of India helps us commemorate the enduring spirit of freedom and the sacrifices made for our independence. We are reminded of the power of unity, resilience and the unwavering pursuit of a brighter future. As our nation marks 78 years of freedom, the little Indians of the Pre-primary block @ DPS Surat celebrated the 78th Independence Day of India with great zeal and exhilaration. Students were all geared up with patriotic fervour.
Our Dipsites seemed to be swayed away in the mixed emotions of joy, hope and pride. The blooming buds of the school lent a rip-roaring flavor when they portrayed themselves as great freedom fighters. They were informed about the history of our nation, the British rule in India, the people who sacrificed their lives to regain freedom and the significance of our national flag. The final event was conducted by the spirited students of Class II-G and II-H as they united to present a captivating Independence Day Assembly on 13 August 2024. They were given an opportunity to voice out their thoughts and celebrate freedom. This rekindled the spirit of nationalism in every heart.
The Pre-nursery students creatively crafted the national flag, while the Nursery students proudly made tricolour badges symbolizing their love for the motherland and the Prep students crafted a tricolour fan, adding an extra touch of joy to this momentous day of celebration. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
"This Independence Day, let's take a pledge to protect the peace and unity of our great nation. Happy Independence Day! Jai Hind.”
