We see shapes everywhere around us, and every child loves to attend birthday parties. On Tuesday 18 June 2024, the young ones of Prep celebrated ‘Heart and Diamond Day’ with an amusing birthday party theme. This enchanting event combined the wonder of shapes and the excitement of birthdays. As the children stepped into the room, they entered the world of festive decorations. The display board was filled with heart and diamond shapes. Heart-shaped balloons, heart and diamond-shaped wall hangings and streamers transforming the space into a dazzling birthday party. They played games associated with these shapes. Children were eager to participate in putting together their takeaway kite, which was made in a beautiful diamond shape. This unique fusion of shapes and birthday party not only ignited their creative mind but also reinforced their understanding of shapes. The little ones enjoyed their day and learned about these shapes in their own ways.
