On Thursday, 27 June 2024, the young learners of DPS Surat came together to celebrate ‘Blue Day’ with great enthusiasm. Our little munchkins of Pre-Nursery and Nursery showed up in different shades of blue. Clad in blue dresses, students were made to recognize blue colour through different games, storytelling and play-way activities. An array of blue ocean themed displays was presented visibly, along with umpteen blue objects thus providing the students opportunities to have a clear sense of the colour and its importance. Engaging in a craft activity, the students created delightful paper crafts of jellyfish and sharks, showcasing their creativity and imagination. Colours are indeed the smiles of nature. The ‘Blue Day’ celebration was a wonderful learning activity reinforcing cognitive skills and helping the young ones sort objects based on colours.
