Every June 21st, the world unites for International Yoga Day, a global celebration of this ancient practice that transcends physical postures and delves into the depths of our mind, body, and spirit. The young yogis of Class 2 grabbed their mats and joined the millions, around the world, to celebrate the countless benefits of yoga. Originating in India thousands of years ago, yoga has become a global phenomenon. The word ‘yoga’ comes from the Sanskrit word ‘yuj’, meaning ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’. Yoga practices aim to unite the different aspects of ourselves – physical, mental, and spiritual – leading to a sense of harmony and well-being. Yoga is a lifelong journey, and International Yoga Day is the perfect opportunity to experience the transformative power of yoga.
