As suggested by Immanuel Kant, senses play a crucial role in beginning to acquire knowledge. Fostering sensory growth in children aids in building a strong foundation for learning by sharpening their perception and understanding of the world around them. Hence, such development was emphasized during the 'Sensory Week' celebration held for the young Dipsites of classes Pre-Nursery and Nursery from Monday, 29 July 2024, to Friday, 2 August 2024.
During the sensory week, the children were thrilled to explore and learn about the five senses (Touch & feel, Sight, Taste, Smell and Sound) through interesting activities such as sensory walk, touch and feel discs, exploring different taste buds, auditory experience of musical tones, visual journey through hues and discerning aromatic scents.
The tiny tots were very much indulged in all the sensory activities and it was an incredible learning experience filled with lots of fun.
