"Meditate, Reflect, Grow: A Journey to Inner Peace"
On December 21, 2024, Delhi Public School Surat celebrated World Meditation Day with an assembly focused on mental well-being. The day coincided with the winter solstice, marking the shortest day and longest night of the year. This celestial event symbolizes renewal, as the Sun enters Capricorn, encouraging reflection, discipline, goal-setting, and personal growth, aligning with the theme of meditation. The event began with an introduction by the students of X D, who highlighted the benefits of meditation in reducing stress, improving concentration, and fostering emotional balance. The highlight of the assembly was a guided meditation session. Students and teachers participated, focusing on mindfulness and breathing exercises. The serene atmosphere created during the session helped everyone experience the calming effects of meditation firsthand. After the meditation, students shared their reflections on the experience, expressing how it helped them feel more relaxed and centred.
