India's rich cultural heritage is deeply intertwined with its diverse water bodies, dance forms, music, and arts. To celebrate this vibrant tapestry of traditions, DPS Surat under the aegis of Delhi Public School Society, conducted a quiz on the themes ‘Water Bodies of India’ for Juniors i.e. Classes VII and VIII and ‘Dance, Music and Arts of India’ for Seniors i.e. Classes IX and XI. The young quizzers participated in the Preliminary Round on 22 nd April 2024.
The quiz offered the participants an immersive experience into the beauty and significance of India's water bodies, as well as its diverse dance, music, and arts traditions. Divided into multiple rounds, each segment of the quiz explored different aspects of India's cultural and natural wealth. The quiz was enthralling with varied questions lined up from Multiple Choices to Visual Still Questions. The quiz not only tested participants, understanding of global, national, and local issues, but also their grasp of recent developments across various fields. From the two age groups- Juniors (Ishan Singh-7G and Shivansh Khanna- 8F) and Seniors (Manav Mehta- 9C and Ananya Tiwari- 11H) were shortlisted for the Zonal Quiz Round.
