To commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, an insightful series of activities unfolded for the students of Classes VIII at DPS Surat on 5th October 2024, fostering a deep connection with the Gandhian legacy. They were engaged in a creative endeavour, crafting group photo albums that chronicled significant milestones of Gandhi’s life. Divided into five groups, the students meticulously illustrated various phases of his journey—from his early life and his law practice in South Africa to his leadership in pivotal movements such as the Non- Cooperation Movement and the historic Salt March. The final group solemnly depicted India’s independence, partition, and Gandhi’s assassination, encapsulating both triumph and tragedy. The event not only kindled awareness but also inspired students to imbibe the ideals of non- violence, truth, and perseverance that Gandhi stood for.
