On 22 nd August 2024, the secondary block celebrated Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and devotion in a special assembly organized by the students of Class 9F, which marks the birth of Lord Krishna. The assembly began with a melodious song sung by the students, invoking the blessings of Lord Krishna. Following this a skit was also performed depicting the various stages of Lord Krishna's life, including his playful childhood and dances of Krishna Radha and Gopis. The actors, dressed in vibrant traditional attire, brought the characters to life with their expressive performances.
The highlight of the assembly was the Matki breaking event, a traditional celebration where students formed a human pyramid to break a pot of flowers and colours hung high above. This event not only symbolized the playful nature of Lord Krishna but also fostered teamwork among
the students.
In conclusion, the school principal addressed the assembly, appreciating the efforts of the students and reminded everyone of the relevance of Lord Krishna’s teachings in today’s world and encouraged the students to embody these values in their daily lives. The assembly was a vibrant and educational experience, leaving everyone with a deeper understanding of the significance of Janmashtami.
