On October 25, 2024, Delhi Public School hosted an exhilarating Inter-House Music Band Competition that showcased the remarkable talent and creativity of its students from Classes 9 and 10. The event drew a large audience of teachers and students all eager to support their respective houses. Each house, namely Dragon, Gryphon, Phoenix, and Unicorn, presented unique musical performances that spanned various genres, including rock, pop, beatbox and traditional Indian music. The bands consisted of vocalists, guitarists, drummers, and keyboardists, all working in harmony to create captivating melodies. The competition kicked off with an energetic performance by the Unicorn house, which set a high standard with their powerful rendition of a classic rock anthem. Phoenix followed with a vibrant fusion of Indian classical and contemporary music, showcasing the versatility of its members. Performance by Dragon was marked by intricate harmonies and rhythmic precision, leaving the audience in awe. Gryphon house closed the round with an impressive medley that had everyone tapping their feet and singing along. The second round featured an exhilarating showdown between the semi-finalist teams of Phoenix and Unicorn, heightening the excitement of the competition. A panel of esteemed judges, composed of music teachers, evaluated the bands based on creativity, musicality, synchronization, and audience engagement. After a thrilling deliberation, Phoenix House emerged as the winner, showcasing their exceptional talent and creativity. Unicorn House followed closely, earning a well-deserved second place. Gryphon House secured the third position, impressing the judges with their spirited performance, while Dragon House received special recognition for their enthusiastic participation and commitment. Each house contributed to a memorable event, celebrating the vibrant musical talent within the school.
