On August 13 2024, the Secondary Block of Delhi Public School Surat celebrated Indian Independence with special assemblies that highlighted the significance of this historic occasion. The assembly of Class 7E celebrated the 78 th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. On one hand, a skit on the topic ‘Unity in Diversity’ stole the show and on the other, Nukkad Natak on ‘Healthy, Clean and Independent India' evoked a sense of integrity and responsibility of the citizens towards the motherland. Instrumental music and dance performances added the colour of patriotism to the event. The assembly of class XF paid tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our country. Followed by it was cultural dance and skit, showing Cripp's mission, partition and quiz related to Independence Day The students were urged to be proud of their heritage and to contribute towards building a strong and prosperous India. They helped to instil a sense of patriotism and pride in the students and faculty members. The program was well-received by the audience. A series of cultural performances, including patriotic songs, traditional dances, and a short play depicting India's journey to independence were met with enthusiastic applause, reflecting the students’ dedication and spirit. A highlight of the assembly was the prize distribution for the various competitions held in the lead-up to Independence Day. The event was a fitting tribute to India's independence and a celebration of the country's rich heritage.
