On 9 October 2024, a special assembly to celebrate Navratri and Dussehra was held in Delhi Public School Surat with great enthusiasm and participation from students of Class 10H. This event aimed to honour the cultural significance of these festivals, showcasing their traditions and values. This assembly showcased the importance of Dussehra & Navratri in different parts of India. Students performed traditional Garba and Dandiya dances, showcasing their vibrant costumes and enthusiasm. They also presented a short skit emphasizing the values of courage and righteousness, an inspirational poem and speech depicting the victory of good over evil. The students were in a joyous mood throughout the assembly. The assembly received positive feedback with many expressing their appreciation for the efforts made to celebrate and educate about these festivals. Students felt more connected to their cultural roots. The special assembly for Navratri and Dussehra was a resounding success, highlighting the richness of Indian traditions and the importance of celebrating
cultural heritage. It provided an engaging platform for students to learn, participate, and connect with their community.
