The Athletics Meet 2024-25, held on 21 November 2024 at Delhi Public School Surat, was marked by enthusiastic participation from students of Classes VII to XII. Organized to promote fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition, the event saw vibrant performances and an impressive turnout. The Guest of Honour, Ms. Archana Bhasin, Principal of Delhi Public School Tapi, inaugurated the meet with a welcome speech followed by lighting of the torch by skilled torchbearers, and the declaration of the meet open. Magnificent display through the March-past by the four houses—Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn, and Gryphon—accompanied by an energetic band display, set the tone for the day. The participants showcased exceptional speed and endurance in track and field events, including sprints (100m, 200m, 400m), hurdles, and relays. The fiercely contested house competition added excitement, culminating in an award distribution ceremony where medals and trophies were presented by the Guest of Honour and the Principal DPS Surat Mr. P. Vamshi Krishna. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the House Mistresses, Teachers, and the Sports Department and everyone who played an integral role in the event. The meet was a resounding success, celebrating sportsmanship, unity, and youthful energy while fostering pride and teamwork among participants.
