On 24 December 2024, the students of Class XII A embarked on an educational field trip to Nova IVF Center, Surat, as part of their Biology curriculum. The visit aimed to provide knowledge about advanced medical technologies and procedures involved in fertility treatments and reproductive health.
Dr. Mona Shroff, Senior Clinical Director and IVF Specialist, explained the basics of the IVF procedure, its importance in helping couples with fertility issues, and its working process. Moreover, the students learned about the science behind egg retrieval, fertilization in the laboratory, and embryo transfer. They also observed the equipment and technologies used to facilitate fertilization and monitor embryo development. The students had the opportunity to solve their queries related to reproductive health, causes of infertility, ethical aspects of IVF and career opportunities in the field. Additionally, the discussion covered emerging trends in fertility treatment, such as genetic screening and embryo freezing. Therefore, the visit to Nova IVF Centre was a highly informative and enriching experience for the students of Class XII.
