The inaugural ceremony of DPSSMUN 2024, marked the beginning of a vibrant conference centered on diplomacy, dialogue and global collaboration. The event on 23 August 2024 was graced by the Principal Mr. P. Vamshi Krishna, the Level Heads, distinguished guests, Ms. Rishita Kinra (Deputy Secretary General, DPSSMUN 2023) and Ms. Diya Shah (Chair of Best Committee, DPSSMUN 2023).
The ceremony featured an inspiring address followed by a captivating dance performance.The highlight was the Country March, where delegates proudly displayed their national flags, symbolizing global unity and cultural pride. Each country's delegate received a detailed introduction, emphasizing their cultural and political significance.
The ceremony also introduced the DPSSMUN 2024 Executive Board, led by the Secretary General Vedant Jain and the Deputy Secretary General Pratha Garg, along with the members of Advisory Committee, Chairs, Vice-Chairs, the Logistics team, and the International Press. The event concluded with the official opening of the conference by Vedant Jain, accompanied by motivating reflections from Ms. Rishita Kinra and Ms. Diya Shah, setting the stage for debates and meaningful discussions.
Day 1 featured engaging committee sessions with intense debates, followed by the International Press Meet. The Press Meet showcased the power of youth-led initiatives and the importance of informed journalism in shaping diplomatic discourse. The day concluded on a high note, with delegates eager to continue their discussions on Day 2, fostering a spirit of global unity and cooperation.
