A session on preparations for the SAT and the important aspects related to it was organized on 19 June 2024 for the students of class XI and XII aspiring to study abroad. The session was conducted both offline and online, with Mr. Jaydeep Buch, the IAES adviser, present in person, and Ms. Janet Turner, Senior Education Adviser and Centre Manager from IAES, participating virtually. The session also featured the virtual presence of Ms. Meenakshi Kachroo Chatta, the Senior Director for South and Central Asia at the College Board. Ms. Chatta began the conclave by elaborating on the role of assessments within a holistic admissions framework and how universities worldwide perceive the SAT as a global credential for admissions and scholarships in the US and nearly 70 other countries and regions. She also discussed various important aspects of the digital SAT, including its specifications, the College Board website for resources, and the importance of practice tests. Detailed explanations of preparation strategies and the exam procedure were provided. Finally, the session concluded with a Q&A segment where students' doubts were cleared. Overall, the session offered invaluable insights and practical guidance, equipping students with the knowledge and resources necessary to gain admission and thrive in an international academic environment.
