The Financial Literacy Club at DPS Surat was established with the goal of equipping students with practical financial skills vital for both short-term and long-term success. Through an engaging learning environment, the club offers Class XII students a platform to showcase their intellectual expertise and enhance their presentation skills by mentoring Class VII students on key financial concepts.
A dedicated group of 23 Class XII students led the initiative through seven one-hour interactive sessions held between July and October. These sessions incorporated dynamic presentations, hands-on activities, and in-depth Q&A discussions. Key topics explored included e-banking, various modes of digital payments, and the Digital India initiative, ensuring students gained a comprehensive understanding of modern financial systems.
This initiative not only deepened Class VII students' financial literacy but also empowered Class XII students to develop essential skills such as public speaking, teamwork and leadership.
