An alumni session titled "Designing as a Career Option" was held on 26 July 2024, for students of classes XI and XII. This session provided a valuable opportunity for students to gain insights into the creative world of design. The session was graciously facilitated by Ms. Vanksha Mehrotra, an alumna from the class of 2023-24, who will be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Designing from the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Daman. Ms. Mehrotra explained in detail the important qualities of a designer, why designing is a promising career option, and provided information on entrance exams and reputable colleges for B.Des in India. She also shared tips on cracking the NIFT and NID exams. The students were informed about the minimum eligibility requirements, recent changes in examination patterns and strategies for solving tricky questions, such as those in the Situation Test. The session concluded with a showcase of her portfolio, illustrating the creative requirements of a future designer.
