On 2 and 3 August 2024, the Science stream students of Class XII visited Hazira Refractory Works Pvt. Ltd. a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality refractory products in India. The field trip aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing processes involved in the production of refractory materials. The company focuses on manufacturing refractory materials crucial for lining furnaces operating at extremely high temperatures. Their products are widely used in Steel, Power, Cement, Ferrous, Non-Ferrous, Petrochemical Plants, and other industries. During the visit, students received a comprehensive overview of the entire process, including the manufacturing, testing, packaging, and dispatching of these materials. This direct exposure allowed students to observe the practical application of scientific principles, deepening their comprehension of classroom concepts and boosting their enthusiasm for the subject. By bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, the visit provided valuable experiential learning opportunities for the students.
