On 11, 12 and 13 June 2024, DPS Surat's Class XI Commerce students explored the nylon production process at CAPLON Gujarat Polyfilms Private Ltd. in Surat. The company, known for manufacturing Nylon Filament Yarn and nylon 6 high-speed textile grade chips, hosted the visit. The experience began with a comprehensive presentation on the entire journey, from melting raw materials to creating nylon chips and eventually yarn. Key discussions included raw material sourcing, the melting process, chip formation, and the conversion of chips into yarn. This was followed by a tour of the entire premises, giving the students a glimpse of the knowledge that they had gained at the presentation. This session adeptly merged theoretical knowledge with practical application, offering students a complete understanding of industrial processes. The visit to CAPLON GPPL provided valuable insights into manufacturing processes, quality control measures, the quality check system, and the role of technology in modern manufacturing, effectively bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.
