On February 4th and 6th, 2025, Class VI students embarked on an educational visit to Sumul Dairy, Surat, to gain first-hand experience of dairy farming and the milk production process.
During the guided tour, students observed various stages of milk processing, packaging, and quality control. They were fascinated by the advanced technology and machinery used in the dairy plant. The visit provided insights into three key economic sectors: the Primary Sector: dealing with extraction of milk from cattle, representing raw material collection, the Secondary Sector: the dairy’s processing and packaging units which showcased how raw materials are converted into finished products, and the Tertiary Sector dealing with the transportation and distribution networks. The whole process illustrated how milk reaches consumers.
Interacting with dairy staff, students gained valuable knowledge about daily operations. This visit deepened their appreciation for the dedication and effort behind milk production, making it an enriching and memorable learning experience.
