World Music Day, also known as Fête de la Musique is celebrated throughout the world on 21st June. It was celebrated for the first time in1982 in Paris where more than 1000 musicians performed throughout the city. Music not only has the power to evoke emotions, tell stories and bring comfort but can also inspire change, provide solace and create memories and transcends boundaries.
The students and teachers of the Primary block celebrated World Music Day with a melodious performance by the talented students and teachers on Raag 'Joga'. It was an enthralling fusion of instruments including sitar, flute and violin.
The music department also gave insights into the famous 'Teen Taal', also known as the King of Taals. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to immerse themselves into melody and notes!
