As part of an outbound learning experience, Grade 4 students embarked on an enriching excursion to Baroda on December 27 and 28, 2024. At Sayaji Park, the students explored both the zoo and the Baroda Museum, where they observed a diverse range of animals and birds, including pelicans, swans, lions, tigers, and crocodiles, bringing their classroom lessons to life. The museum captivated them with exhibits like a blue whale skeleton, a mummy, ancient manuscripts, and handicrafts from various regions of India, offering a glimpse into the nation’s cultural richness. A highlight was their introduction to taxidermy, where they studied preserved specimens to understand different beaks, feet, and claws, enhancing their experiential learning. The day also included a fun ride on the Joy Train, adding excitement and laughter to their adventure. Later, the students toured the majestic Laxmi Vilas Palace, where expert guides narrated the history and grandeur of the Gaekwad family, leaving them awestruck by the architecture and royal artifacts. The children were particularly eager to catch a glimpse of the current King and Queen of the Gaekwad family, adding a sense of wonder to the experience. This thoughtfully planned excursion seamlessly combined education and enjoyment, making it an unforgettable experience for all.
