‘Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.’
This quote by Margaret Fuller was on full exhibit as the small leaders of Class IV E presented their class assembly on 30th April 2024, Tuesday, on a topic which is the heart of any language – ‘Power of Reading’. The students dressed up as various characters from their all-time favourite books such as Harry Porter, Mowgli, Alice, Tenali, Krishna and some of the renowned writers like R.K.Narayan, Sudha Murthy, Vishnu Sharma, E.B.White and Roald Dahl. The high light of the assembly was when these characters asked the audience to identify who they represented. The audience too actively participated by guessing the answers and boosted the confidence and enthusiasm of the presenters. Reading is important at every stage of life as it changes the perspective and the beliefs and give direction to an individual further helping to shape one’s life. The assembly culminated in a reader’s celebration, where the joy of reading was expressed through movement and rhythm in a delightful dance.
