Delhi Public School Surat in association with SCWO, Surat Children Welfare Organization has felicitated and encouraged the Sports Person of the Year and other Promising Sports Persons with exemplary achievements in any area of Sports and Games on 2 August 2019. The SCWO has always supported Delhi Public School Surat in their philosophy of holistic education and personality development. They have started this initiative in the year 2013-14 and this is the sixth consecutive year that they graced the occasion and gave scholarships to the meritorious students ranging from Rs. 1000 to 31,000. It was indeed a great event where many students were inspired and motivated to make Sports an essential part of their daily lives. The occasion was also graced by the parents who offered their unconditional support to their students. Muskan Gupta, a student of Class XI was awarded the Sports Person of the Year 2018-19 with an award of Rs. 31,000/- for her Sports Achievements i.e second Position in 64th SGFI National School Games Cycling(Road) Championship 2018, Third position in 23rd National Road Cycling Championship 2018, First position in Gujarat State Cycling Championship 2018.
