“Pain is temporary but the pride in one’s achievements is permanent.” These inspiring words were spoken by Mr Mairaj Ahmed Khan when he visited Delhi Public School on June 14, 2019. Mr Mairaj is a Shooting Athlete in the Indian Team and the only individual who has solely represented India in Shotgun-Skeet category at the Rio Olympics 2016. He enthralled the students with anecdotes and experiences from his life. During this interactive session, he motivated students to pursue their dreams in the field of sports as well as education. Patience and perseverance, according to him, are the keys to success. He said that he did not sleep when he was tired but when he was done. Students interacted with him and asked him many questions which he answered with great wit and patience. It was truly an enlightening experience!
