Information has become a vital source for world economies and is certainly the basic component of education. It is a vital element to technological and scientific change and poses several challenges to individuals in all walks of life. Thus, information is the first step to gaining knowledge and the library is a key place in the new information age of modern society. It serves as a central workshop where students can develop reading habits and teachers can supplement the curricular needs of students, and pursue action research.
The DPS Surat Library and Resource Centre is the heart of the school and it started beating from day one of the school’s existence on 11 April 2003.
