The DPS National Squash Championship for Boys (Open) 2017 was conducted on 9 and 10 October 2017 at Arena, the Sports Complex, DPS Surat. Talented sportspersons from Delhi Public Schools across the country participated in the tournament. They played the game with irresistible surge of will and high spirits. The Championship was declared open by Mr. P. Vamshi Krishna, the Principal of DPS Surat. Mr. Manish Chavan, the Chief Referee of the Championship monitored the tournament and timely guidance was given to the participants. Sankalp Anand of DPS R.K. Puram bagged the first position in the individual Championship. Jaivir Singh Dhillon of DPS R.K. Puram and Anmol Malik of DPS Ranipur, Haridwar bagged the first runners-up and second runners-up positions respectively. Sankalp Anand of DPS R.K. Puram was awarded the Best Player of the Championship title. DPS R.K. Puram was the winner of the team championship. DPS Surat and DPS Ranipur, Haridwar bagged the 1st runners-up and 2nd runners-up positions respectively. The Championship witnessed perfect amalgamation of talent, teamwork and intelligence. The event witnessed the winners receiving prizes from Mr. G.R.Sivakumar, the Founder Principal of DPS Surat and the Director of DPS Surat and Tapi and Mr. P. Vamshi Krishna, the Principal of DPS Surat. The Championship was a truly a testimony showing that passionate hard work and individuality is the key to success.
