‘Choose to live by choices not chance, to be motivated not manipulated, to make changes not excuses and choose self-esteem and not self- pity’. This should be the inner voice of teenagers. They need to be alert and conscious of their surroundings. These ideas were showcased by students of class 12F in the assembly presented on 15 June 2017. The core of the assembly was teenagers facing threat in the form of cyber bullying, peer pressure, bullying by peers and child abuse. It emphasised the significance of being vigilant and identifying the potential danger in everyday life.Sense of awareness and standing up for your rights can help in overcoming sensitive situations. The students conveyed the theme effectively through a role-play of fictional stories of varied people. They imparted the message that life can be faced fearlessly if we combat the issues sensitively and learn skills for sorting conflicts in everyday situations with fortitude. It is very important to make correct decisions and strategize life purposefully in the present scenario.
