February 6 was an extremely happy time for the 9th standard students as they embarked on an adventurous excursion to Durshet, Maharashtra. The trip turned out to be the answer to all their cravings for challenging outdoor activities. On day one, after a brief stop over at the Silent Resort, Manor, the students reached the basecamp at 2pm. Post Lunch, they were taken trekking amongst the hills to reach the site where various adventurous activities awaited them. The students sweated it out and showed their vigour while enjoying activities like Zip Lining, Rappelling, crossing the Burma Bridge and swinging on the Tarzan Swing etc. The activities really challenged the persistence and endurance of the children while teaching them life and survival skills, which got their adrenaline flowing. Post dinner, the children were asked to dress up two of their team members as the Jungle King and Queen. The night also saw children indulging in whipping up some yummy dishes in the ‘Jungle Cooking Competition’. The competitions taught the students how to use their limited resources to the maximum.

Day two was reserved for a day trip to amusement park, Imagica. The children's joy knew no bounds as they indulged in all the daring and exciting rides, all day long. Post dinner, the students danced to the latest tunes and let their hair down. The customary campfire turned out to be a good bonding session for one and all. The last day was no less exciting as the students were divided into different teams for a challenging Treasure Hunt. All the teams put in their best efforts to give other teams a run for their money. Later on, medals were given to the winning team. Shreya Baid of IX B and Yash Saraf of IX C were declared as the Best Campers (girl and boy), respectively.

The children returned home safe and sound on February 9, exhausted but with their hearts full of happy memories.
